Our Return Policy

For fast, easy returns, keep your receipt. It not only ensures that you get the proper credit for your purchase, but it also helps our Associates process your return quickly.

For Items Purchased in Our Stores:

Bring your returned products to the store where purchased with proof of purchase and items in their original packaging.

Returns with an Original Sales Receipt Within 90 Days of Purchase

  • Any purchase made by credit card will be refunded to the original credit card.
  • Any purchase made by cash will be refunded in cash; any purchase made by debit card will be refunded to the original debit card.
  • Any purchase made by a cheque must wait until the cheque has cleared the bank (usually 10 working days) and then it will be refunded in cash.
  • Any purchase made by a cheque that has not cleared the 15-day waiting period will not be refunded.
  • Any purchase made by store credit, gift certificate or gift card will be refunded back onto a McMunn & Yates Gift Card. 

Returns with an Original Sales Receipt After 90 Days of Purchase

A store credit or McMunn & Yates gift card may be issued for the original purchase price.

Returns Without a Sales Receipt

If you made your purchase in the past 30 days by credit, debit, or cheque we may be able to look up your receipt. However, if we are unable to successfully find your receipt, a credit on a McMunn & Yates Gift Card may be issued based on the last sale price within the last 30 days.

Website Return Policy

Shop with Confidence at McMunn & Yates Building Supplies! Every order comes with our price match guarantee. We will match any local competitor's retail price on any identical in-stock item. If you are not satisfied with your order, know you can return it for an exchange or refund at any McMunn & Yates Building Supplies location. If your order arrives damaged, please contact our dedicated MYstore Customer Service within 2 business days at mystorecustomercare@mcmunnandyates.com , or call Toll Free at 1-855-882-1060 between 7am and 4pm (Central Time).

Your refund will be processed only once the item being returned has been received at one of our McMunn & Yates locations. Please ensure the product is in its original packaging and accompanied by the original receipt so your return process is quick and hassle-free.

Need to cancel an order completed through MYstore? To cancel an order that has been purchased through MYstore and currently scheduled for delivery or pick-up, simply send an email to our dedicated MYstore Customer Service. Please refer to the order number mentioned in the confirmation e-mail you received.

Should you have any questions regarding a purchase made through MYstore, simply contact our dedicated MYstore Customer Service.

For Items Purchased Online through MYstore:

You can mail your returned product back to 2366 McPhillips Street, Winnipeg, MB, R2V 4J6 in its original packaging and accompanied by a copy of your receipt, or bring your returned product to any of our locations in its original packaging and accompanied by the original receipt.

If the preferred option is to mail the items back, please note you are responsible for the shipping charges. Remember to keep the tracking number with you should you need to call the shipping company. Once we receive the item(s) it can take up to 3 business days to process your exchange/refund. We will contact you via email notifying you when your exchange will be sent out or when your refund will be processed.

All In-Store and Online Purchases:

  • Special Orders are generally not refundable, however, some can be returned and subject to 25% restocking fee. Cancellations may be subject to 25% restocking fee, 50% on Windows & Cabinetry. 
  • Custom made products: No returns.
  • Custom tinted paint department products: No returns.
  • Gift Cards, Gift Certificates, and Store Credit cannot be exchanged or returned for cash, credit or cheque.
  • McMunn & Yates Building Supplies reserves the right to request valid identification prior to accepting merchandise for a return.
  • McMunn & Yates Building Supplies reserves the right to limit or refuse to accept the return of certain merchandise at any time and for any reason.
  • McMunn & Yates Building Supplies will only accept the return of merchandise purchased from McMunn & Yates Building Supplies Store.
  • Purchases made with a Customer Agreement must be returned to the same location in which it was purchased. See Service Desk for details.
  • McMunn & Yates Building Supplies may issue a cheque for refunds over $100 (cheques are mailed from McMunn & Yates Home Office in Dauphin)

MYstore (Online) Pricing

Pricing seen online may vary from your local McMunn & Yates Building Supplies due to changes in market conditions, freight and local materials costs and in such cases, the in-store pricing will take precedence over online pricing. Should there be any discrepancies between the total shown online, or on your email confirmation, and the total charged to your credit card, the charge to your credit card will be deemed as correct.

If for some reason there is an issue with the store's inventory, someone from the MYstore Customer Service Team will contact you to provide additional information about your online purchase.

All applicable taxes and delivery fees will be added to the price during the checkout process. Please note an e-mail confirmation of your order does not guarantee acceptance of that order. We reserve the right to limit quantities or refuse to sell to any customer as circumstances dictate. 

Online pick-up orders not picked up after 30 days will be cancelled and your payment refunded.

McMunn and Yates strives for accuracy, however, because we are constantly striving to make our website better, McMunn & Yates cannot guarantee 100% accuracy of all the information found on our site. In the event of an error located on McMunn & Yates website (MYstore) we will make every effort to accommodate our customers while reserving the right to substitute product where necessary and modify price and product information at any time. 

All prices seen online are in Canadian dollars and do not include applicable taxes or delivery fees. 

We reserve the right to make pricing changes or corrections on the McMunn & Yates website (MYstore) at any time, without notice. In the event of a drastic difference between online pricing and in-store pricing, the in-store price will always be deemed as the correct price.

Delivery Order Information

Additional delivery fees may be required and will be added to the order when the confirmation is sent by our store associate. Delivery dates availability vary by location and will be confirmed by the location after the order is received.
